Welcome to my account for writing deviations. Possibly some of you will visit here having come across my photography account. Photography will most likely stay my main focus at DA, but I intend to post writings here as time permits.

I've been a writer pretty much all my life, though outside of professional/commercial work, I haven't had a lot of opportunity to share my creative stuff. A large portion of the pieces I post here will probably be poems. However, I've had a number of ideas for essays that I've been wanting to put down into a solid form for some time, and I'm hoping that having this account will motivate me to do so.

Writing is one of thsoe art forms that I think generally has a narrower field of appreciation. So, I'm not expecting tons of views or comments or whatever. If you're not a lover of the written word, that's fine....no need to look at deviations here. My hope with any writing I post is that a few people will find something that is interesting to them and that triggers thoughts or emotions at some level.

If you find something you like here, then that's enough to make me happy. If you choose to leave a comment, I'd of course be glad to receive it. I probably won't be logging in to this account often enough to reply very frequnetly, but I'll always read through everything anyone has to say. Or, if you just want to lurk and browse, that's fine too.
